When I was younger, so much younger than today I was not sure if I would make it through this life without going insane My mind was numbed, my soul was frail, and my self-doubt would not go away I made a vow that I would not play the role society’s expecting from me And I felt so cliché But still I stand my ground Never weary of this life I found I’ve had my ups and downs Had a few drops too much but never drowned Yes I’m still going strong, Facing the world with a frown Thruth is I’d never want it any other way When we were younger, were we not wiser than them We’d change the path our elders layed, create new roles in this play I missed the point where we gave up our dreams and chose a life of conformity Your car, your house, your shitty career, none of these things mean anything to me, so tell me can’t you see That still I stand my ground Never weary of this life I found I’ve had my ups and downs Had a few drops too much but never drowned Yes I still stand my ground Never weary of this life I found Don’t know where this will end All I know is I don’t regret a thing.

Counter culture This is more than just a sound Counter culture Coming from the underground Counter culture Not just what but how we do it Antifacist Antiracist Antisexist Anarchist Too much shit stands in our way, Too many bands have got nothing to say, But we got choice, we got our voice, And we’ll shout out loudly over the noise. You won’t hear this on the radio But this life is all that we know. Out of our way cause this is our space, we won’t be cut out and we’ll tell you straighfaced that we’re sick of your world, your competitive ways, Don’t you know we were born to cooperate? You might not hear this on the radio But this life is all that we know. Revolution Rock ain’t nobody gonna stop us cause the world is a messed up place and someone’s gotta bring the ruckus. Call out all the bullshit one song at a time cause something’s gotta give against the callous and supine. Let’s tear down the walls in our heart and in our minds.

It’s a straight line that leads from bad to worse It’s a straight line that leads from pride to hate And it’s not alright, it's not some random fate It’s a wicked blight so let’s dry out its source. From the north to the south you can hear it all around The voice of the people makes a terrifying sound. And from east to west hear it spreading like a pest, Who will set against, who's gonna put 'em to the test? From the banners waving wildly to induce identity To the racist mob rabid in a national frenzy, There’s a straight line, straight, a connection clear to see: There’s no nation, no pride without discriminating. Add empathy to our death toll But blood and soil will kill us all Take a look around and you can tell something’s wrong: From the cradle to the grave you know we all have to belong, But in this place based on merit and chauvinistic pride, Belonging just means to be conquered and divided. Some may seek comfort in patriotic affections, But we need to come together, look for different directions Yes it’s not hard to see, what we need is solidarity To counter-act all these excluding polarities. It's a straight line It's a straight line It's a straight line It's a straight line It's a straight line

No sacrifice is too great when it comes to the number of Can you hear them scream or can you feel their pain? The casualties of this bloodshed year after year, and you just dont wanna hear it, wanna hear it. How more will it take till we'll have our say? Get outta our way, get outta our way! How more can you push aside till you stop to obey? Get outta our way get outta our way! How could this barbarity become the unquestioned normality? Can you hear them scream or can you feel their pain? It reached dimensions that exceed a great bloody war, and you just dont wanna hear it, wanna hear it.
6.
We all fight together, stand as one, Yeah we make the wicked racists run. No need for a knife, no need for a gun. You better run cause we don't stop until you're done. We won't stop We won't stop We all fight together, stand as one, Yeah we make the wicked racists run. No need for a knife, no need for a gun. You better run cause we don't stop until you're gone We won't stop We won't stop

Remember me?, said the rerun to the past they told you I’d be back only this time I would be a farce. Yet all I taste is just lukewarm history Copy and paste, the same old shit, no joke, no travesty. Society is only what we make of it now History is ours but we must we take it on Do you recall?, said the dreams of yesteryear When change lay still ahead, like a path so straight and clear. Doomed to repeat it seems is our fate Deaf to the cries that warn us, blind to our mistakes. And all these people’s antics Leave me helplessly gloomy, Leave me feeling More hopeless than romantic.

Going Home 03:02
Trying to get away from what’s making us drown, it’s another Friday night and everyone’s heading downtown. Losing ourselves in the crowd, in the sound, so much to win in this times of empathetic drought. Call it self-deception but it feels just right cause the world i’m longing for is still too far out of sight. In this competitive society with its isolating tendency it seems ever harder to build a better way community. I don’t want to go, no, I don't want to go home I don’t want to be alone in the cold. Show me somewhere, somewhere I belong Show me somewhere that does not feel wrong Sunday morning and I step in the light Still awake, still telling myself i’m living the life, cause all I’m searching for is some peace of mind, yeah, I’m not running away, I’m just trying to be alive. And I know none of this doesn’t makes any sense cause if tomorrow wasn’t Monday there would be no weekend, yes I know this time next week i’ll meet you right here again, trying to compensate, we’re all just here to pretend, but This time I know I’ll make the jump and I’ll find my way home, this has been going for way too long, and there’s still no way to righten all wrongs. I just want to go, I just want to go home The world outside is turning colder than cold I just want to go, I just want to go home I just want to go home I just want to go

The last time I was cutting trees a thought struck me and I saw the real enemy. It'y not my supply or us smoking weed, no, it's the fucking cops chasing after me. See, the hypocrites are on the rise, One's getting rich another is loosin' his life. The money signs in your eyes are my despise, no one's safe, it's time to empathize. The first time I had seen this shit thats in their minds, why can't they see whats the real threat here? It's not my supply or us smoking weed, no, It's the old men trying to sell more pills. Shame, horror, despair. What is right, what is wrong? The cops are on me, shit, see they come, they try to catch you better run, run, run. Police man comes knocking at your door, they try to catch you with their gun, gun, gun. Shame, horror, despair. What is right, what is wrong? Just because you break a law, doesn't mean that you do wrong. Shame, horror, despair. What is right, what is wrong? Just because you broke a law, doesn't mean that you did wrong. Everybody smoka, everybody high, good for yourself, just give it a try. Organic weed, yes, it gives you a win, no need for any artificial thing. Do yourself a favour: be right minded and sublime, don't mix it with death, desctuction and crime. Put it in a Rizzla or put it in a pipe, never mix it with death, corruption and crime You shall never mix it with death, corruption and crime.

500 Years 03:38
Imaginary bloodlines Drawn in the sand and in the sea. Imagined truth, so visceral, Dividing us efficaciously, Driving the wedge between you and me. Another youth has fallen Falling prey To this sorry state of mind 500 years of vanity 5000 years of hate No more of your national pride Substitute for disposession: Tin gods on high pedestals. Give sense to an alienated life Filled up with chauvinistic pride, Torn appart in endless strife. And all the walls you've built to protect your nation states, we're gonna tear them all down and burn your fortress to the fucking ground. No more, no more, no more of your national pride No more, no more. No more, no more, no more of your national pride No more, no more.

Where did we go wrong? So many battles fought but yet so little won. All these words we’ve sung, and yet it seems we’re always, always on the run. Change does not come overnight, Sometimes it fails when it seems just in sight. Sometimes it means we have to pave the way to get out of this plight. And if we have to try another million times we won’t fall in the trap of being reconciled. We’ll multiply our desires, make them ever transpire, make them see a piece of what’s to come after the fire. Have we fucked this up? Laid it on the line trying to get our point across. We tried to be a spark, But just a fire, burning, won’t get us through the dark.

This here sound gotta turn it up loud, Locked in a groove but I never wanna get out. Contained in music somehow more than just sound A higher energy that can turn me right around. Pass on the vibes from membrane to membrane, Become a part of me, make me feel alive again. Pass through my brain to stir the blood in my veins, now repeat it from the top, pass through my heart again. Pass through my heart again. Pass through my heart again. Drop the needle, flip it over, run the tune just one more time now. Pass through my heart again. This feeling of affection, sometimes hard to comprehend Talkin bout my first love, it’s the one that never ends Cause when the band starts playing, when the group starts to chant, When the record starts spinning it makes time and space expand. Pass on the vibes from membrane to membrane, Songs to rock my heart, songs that keep me sane. Sounds like a balm for the soul and for the brain, Dropping like a bomb, pass through my heart again. A message passed in sound, more than a passage in time Radical sounds for the rebellious mind, A message of freedom is a message sublime. I’m not much of a poet yes but this is my life. Hear the sound rock it now inna fine style Doesn’t kill the pain but makes it go just for a while. Feel the bass Dub it there can be no denial So pull it up selector now don’t let me down

about

"We cannot avoid the ache of history; its grief we feel in the gut. It is essential to study our past. We must study the record. It must pass through our heart again.”
